All EK turret forklifts have slack chain sensors. Should the operator lower the cab on to the rack structure or obstruction and cause the lift chains to become slack - the lowering function is automatically stopped.

In addition to the standard over capacity rated lift chains - that are required on all forklift trucks. The EK forklift vehicles are equipped with an additional safety lift chain of the same capacity, that can carry the cab and load by itself.

The additional lift chain is strictly for safety, considered a failsafe device in addition to the standard lift chains.
